Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Grant Expenditure

The Government introduced the Pupil Premium Grant in April 2011. This grant, which is additional to main school funding, is seen by the government as one way of addressing the underlying inequalities between disadvantaged pupils and other children. The funding is allocated to schools, who then decide on how to spend it as they can best assess what additional funding should be made for the individual children within their responsibility.
